Effective Friday 4 December 2020 ACT Parishes Only
Masses, Weddings, Funerals, Liturgies
Parishes need to apply for the QR Code if they want to apply the 2m2 rule to their churches:
Visit: https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/business-and-work/check-in-cbr
This will mean that most churches will be able to have approximately 200 in their Churches.
If Parishes do not have the QR Code, then they must apply the 4m2 rule. This will mean that those churches will be able to have approximately 100 in their Churches.
If a liturgy is celebrated outside the Church, then apply the 2m2 rule, up to a maximum of 500.
Please note: not all parishioners will have a phone that allows them to use the QR Code, so a Mass Register is still required. The QR Code does not keep count of participants, so numbers will need to be monitored.
COVID-19 Safety Plan
• Physical or digital Mass Register to be kept for 30 days
• Availability of hand sanitiser is essential
• Holy Communion only under the species of bread
• Holy Communion to be received only in the hand
• No touching at the sign of peace
• Collection plates not to be passed around
• Families can sit together, but in relation to other persons/families apply 2m2 rule
• Singing is possible, respecting 2m2 rule, people facing the same direction.
